Rosses AC Notes
Good luck to the Rosses AC athletes competing in the Ulster and Northern Ireland Track and Field U-16 Championship’s in Antrim Forum on Saturday 14th with a 10am start.

There has been good work put in so far by these athletes.
Juvenile training for the younger athletes in Carrickfinn is now finished for the summer.
Well done to all the athletes from the Rosses and Gaoth Dobhair who competed in the Mulroy Bay Adventure Race at the weekend.
These included Brendan McBride 1:17:56, Con Mc Geever 1:21:21, Sinead Boyle 1:30:21, Elise Gillespie 1:33:07, Noreen Mc Gee 1:34:49, Anne Harkin 1:36:22, Cathy Breslin 1:38:35, Leigh Mc Geever 1:42:29, Sinead Diver 1:50:18, Moira Ní Gallachoir 1:52:39, Anne Rodgers 1:53:43, Patricia O’Donnell 1:53:44, Lorna O’Donnell 1:59:43.
Well done to the three Rosses AC athletes who competed in the Northern Ireland and Ulster Track and Field Ch’s at the Mary Peters track in Belfast last Sunday. Some of the notable performances were Aoise Willoughby – Girls U-14 80m 11.72 secs and Long Jump 4.19m.
Luke Mc Dermott: Boys U-15 Javelin – 4th 24.97m and High Jump – 5th 1.50m (PB). Thomas Marry: Boys U-15 Shot Putt – 5th 9.68m and Discus – 6th 21.88m.
This was the first time competing in the Javelin for Luke and Discus for Thomas.
Good luck to Roshine Nataional School, Maghery and Keadue National School who will be competing in the Cumann na mBunscol Small Schools (1 to 3 teacher schools) Athletics Ch’s in the Aura, Letterkenny on Wednesday 18th.
Wednesday night training at the Industrial Estate will be put on hold for the summer months as many people are preparing for Gaelforce North, taking part in 5ks, etc and will commence again in late August.
Fit4Life is in Mulladearg on Mondays at 6pm and Wednesdays in Carrickfinn at 6pm.
All levels catered for, walkers and beginners welcome.
