Letterkenny 24/7
The main race last weekend was the Sprint National Championship race in Camlough, Co.Armagh.
Over six hundred triathletes from all over Ireland took part in this prestigious event.
Ten Letterkenny triathletes took part, Aidan Callaghan was the highest placed club member, finishing third overall behind two professional triathletes.
Aidan improved his time from last year by almost three minutes, so he can be happy that his hard work over the winter and spring is paying dividends.
Gavin Crawford was 17th overall and second in his age group whilst the other performance of the day was Lisa Dalton who finished eighth woman overall and 2nd in her age category.
Fin Begley following on from her eighth age group place in Gort, Co. Galway improved to seventh.
Club secretary Graham Parker put in a strong bike after a good swim for a very impressive performance.
Noel Lynch made his competitive debut for 2014. He hopes to feature more strongly in races to come as he puts his injuries behind him.
Tommy Hill continues to improve, putting in a strong bike and run after coping well with the choppy swim conditions.
He can now claim the old timers bragging rights!Damian McGoohan showed that there is more than one triathlete in the household and Evelyn Boyle also performed well.
