12th Donegal (Manorcunningham) Scout Group hosted this years Errigal Scout County annual Beaver Scout Camp at Galdonagh. Over 100 eager Beaver Scouts and their leaders attended the action packed weekend camp.
Despite the sometimes torrential rain and the odd rattle of thunder everyone had a great time, learning new scouting skills, learning about nature, indeed the theme of this years camp was “Errigal Zoo” and all those attending had to dress up as a Zoo animal and learn something about it.
They were also treated to a traditional Scout Campfire singsong, led by young Venture Scout Christopher Kelly. After the Campfire all enjoyed a BBQ of burgers and sizzling sausages before it was bedtime.
These are special memories for the young 6yrs to 8 yr old Beaver Scouts and hopefully the friendships and experiences will be with them for many years.
The organising team from 12th Donegal (Manorcunningham) led by Dara and Raymond Coll would like to thank all those helped in any way to the success of the Camp.
They would especially like to thank the Hayes family who kindly permitted the use of the field, and also the Scouts and Venture Scouts for all their hard work before and during the event.
