Glenties based, pharmacist Garrett O’Donnell is celebrating ten years in business by holding a special three-day sale this weekend.
On June 4th 2004, Garrett O’Donnell M.P.S.I, took the reins from the late Paddy Lalor (RIP).
For the past 10 years, hundreds of customers have been welcomed through the doors of both the old chemist on the bridge, to the new premises further down the Main Street in Glenties, Co. Donegal.
For the past few weeks, as news of Garrett’s 10 years as the local Pharmacist spread, the same words have been uttered time and time again,
O’Donnell told Donegal Daily, “It’s hard to believe it has been 10 years!
This feeling is shared with Garrett as the past 10 years have gone by so quickly and with people he describes as friends.
“Without my loyal customers, there would be nothing.
“The support and loyalty shown to me over the past 10 years make all of the hard work worthwhile. 10 years, is a milestone, one I want to share with everybody. 
“People from Glenties, Ardara, Narin, Portnoo, Dungloe and further afield have kept me going.
“Everyone welcomed me into Glenties and trusted me to look after their medical needs.
“The stories and craic are the credit to the people I meet every day!
“Everyone has been so good to me for 10 years, and long may it continue!
Garrett has been on hand to answer any medical queries and fill those all-important prescriptions.
He would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has come through the doors for the last 10 years.
To show grateful appreciation Garrett O’Donnell Pharmacy are holding a special THREE DAY SALE.
O’Donnell concluded, “Everyone I have met during my 10 years in business has been more than good to me, and I want to give them something back, something to say Thank You!
