Kilcar have been crowned All-Ireland Gaeltacht champions following a comprehensive victory over Micheál Breathnach CLG in today’s final.
Kilcar ran out utterly convincing winners, in a one-sided final on a scoreline of Kilcar 3-14 Micheál Breathnach 0-13.
Ryan McHugh produced a sensational performance for the Kilcar side as they cruised to victory.
The Donegal player was in unstoppable form, and the Galway side had no answer to him, as he took hold of the game and completely controlled the match from start to finish.
While Ryan McHugh won the man of the match award, he was ably assisted in dismantling Micheál Breathnach with strong performances from older brother Mark McHugh, former Donegal legend Michael Hegarty, Ashley Carr and Ciaran McGinely.
The celebrations are expected to continue long into the night in Kilcar, and the team were expected back in Kilcar at 11pm.
Well done Kilcar on being crowned All-Ireland Gaeltacht Champions.
