A 20-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a popular Polish man found dead in his apartment a year ago.
Kryszstof Grezegorski, from 35 Hazelbrook Crescent in Letterkenny, was charged with the murder on May 15 last year of Bogdan Michalkiawicz (41).
Michalkiawicz was found dead at his Riverside apartment in Letterkenny. He had been last seen alive two days earlier.
His brother Tomasz sat in court today during the hearing, holding a framed picture of him.
Detective sergeant Michael Galvin told Letterkenny District Court today that Kryszstof Grezegorski made no reply when he was charged with murder this morning.
Judge Paul Kelly remanded the accused man in custody to reappear via video link on June 9 next.
