MENS FOOTBALL
Our senior footballers claimed their first win of the campaign with an impressive 0-18 to 1-6 win over senior county champions, and Ulster club runners up Glenswilly on Sunday.
The reserves were well beaten by a physically stronger and more experienced Glenswilly outfit.
SENIOR LADIES
The girls are due to play Glenswilly in a challenge match in Muff on Saturday evening. Details will be posted on club social media sites over the coming days.
UNDERAGE BOYS
Congratulations to the Under 16 panel who defeated Carndonagh in Foden on Friday on a 1-8 to 0-6 scoreline, Aaron mc Laughlin (Addy) with the goal.
UNDERAGE GIRLS
Our Under 12 panel, played their first match of the season last week, going down by a narrow margin v Muff. The girls have a strong panel of 18 and each and every girl played their heart out to the end. The girls are in action v neighbours Carn this week.
CUL CAMP
The club Cul Camp will be held on the week commencing 14th of July. The 5 day camp is open to children between the age of 5 and 13. During the first week of June, Maria will pay a visit to each school in the coming weeks armed with the registraton forms, On the final day of the camp, members of the Donegal football panel will be in attendance. The annual camp is regularly one of biggest and best attended GAA Camps in the entire county.
REFEREES COURSE
There will be a Level 2 referee course for anyone intersed in Ladies football on June 9th. There will also be a course on the GO Games rules proposed for June 23th. Both courses are organised by the Donegal Ladies board. For more information, contact Christina on 086 1980399
SPORTS DAY.
The Annual club Day will be held on June 1st in Connolly Park. All proceeds will be in aid of the Donegal Cancer Bus Fund. More details will be released in the coming days.
COUNTY MATTERS
Congratulations to club referee Shaun Mc Laughlin who was the fourth official in Sundays Ulster Championship clash between Down and Tyrone in Healy Park on Sunday. Best wishes to Declan, Stephen and the Donegal football squad who take on Derry on their opening Ulster Quarter Final game this weekend and also to our fellow clubman Robert Farren who is a member of Declan Bonners backroom staff who take on the same opposition in the Minor championship in Celtic Park on Sunday. For anyone unable to attend, the senior clash will be screened on both RTE 2 and BBC 2. Throw in at 2-15.
CLUB SHOP
The Malin GAA club shop will be open in the clubhouse on Saturdays from 12-2 and on Sundays from 11-15 to 2-00. There are a large selection of club merchandise in stock, which can be purchased on the day. A list of other club gear, hoodies, rain jackets, shorts, socks, hats, scarves, kit bags etc are also available to order. The Malin half zipped training tops sponsored by Mark Monagle of 4Mark Construction are also available to order and are proving very popular. LOTTO
There was no winner of this weeks lotto jackpot, sequence drawn was 2-4-6-5-7-3-1 €50 winner was Gerard Monagle, Malin and the winner of the 20 euro sellers prize was Ronan Mc Laughlin. No its not a misprint, (Gerard has scooped the €50 for the second week in a row) Next weeks jackpot is €600 and as always we would like to thank the local community for their continued support of our weekly lotto draw. Envelopes are just €2 or 3 for €5 euro and are available in most pubs and shops in the area or alternatively from our band of young eager sellers.
