Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has urged Reds boss Brendan Rodgers to sign Killybegs soccer star Seamus Coleman.
The former striker said the Donegal man would be the perfect player for Liverpool and said Rodgers should spend some of his €75million summer kitty on Coleman.
“At Liverpool you always want great players and you always want good young players – and he certainly fit that’s category,” said Fowler.
Fowler said he has no question that a number of big clubs will be sniffing around Coleman this summer.
“I have seen him a few times and fair play to him. He has ben the standout right back.
“He’s so quick. The energy and the drive that he’s got to get up and down all game, and the pace he’s got – it’s a forward’s dream. You want players like that in your side.
“He is scoring goals, assisting goals and he deserves it (his recent PFA Award), be cause he has ben unbelievable.
No disrespect to Everton but there will be a few clubs in the summer, I think, trying to take him away,” said Fowler.
