A Donegal designer has more than a small part in Ireland’s Eurovision entry.
Eurovision hopeful Kasey Smith will be taking a leaf out of Laura Whitmore’s style book for the singing showdown.
The stunning singer (23) will be donning a creation by Donegal designer Oliver Doherty Duncan as she tries to turn head in Copenhagen next week.
She’ll be taking to the stage in a stunning gold and brown Kathy de Stafford creation teamed with a gold neckpiece made especially for her by Oliver.
He’s the same designer from the Inishowen Peninsula that Laura Whitmore chose for the IFTAs and is now based in the Design Centre.
Now Kasey and group Cann-Linn will be setting pulses racing when she performs Heartbeat for an estimated TV audience of more than 100 million people.
A source explained to the Evening Herald how the dress was inspired by the warrior princess image that Kasey wants to portray.
“It’s very Game of Thrones — that’s the kind of look we’re going for,” she said.
