The Finn Harps/Donegal County Council road safety campaign ‘Putting Road Safety in the Picture’ has been hailed as a huge success.
The winning entry to be unveiled at half time during the Finn Harps v Shamrock Rovers match in Finn Park this Friday night.
The art competition was open to all Primary Schools in the county and attracted over 500 entries.

Niamh Ni Chleirigh, Scoil Gaelscoil Adhamhnáin, Leitir Ceanainn
The overall winner will be unveiled at half time during the Finn Harps v Shamrock Rovers match in Finn Park on Friday 2nd May 2014.
The winning piece will feature as an advertising hoarding promoting Road Safety in Finn Park for the current season.
The Mayor of Donegal County Council , Councillor Ian McGarvey, praised all the schools for their participation in the competition.
He said, “I wish to congratulate all the winners and I would like to thank all the schools for getting behind this initiative. We had over 500 entries and it is fantastic to see our schools involved in promoting Road Safety with our young people. Do make our roads safe by looking out for each other, drive safely and let’s make our contribution.”
Finn Harps John Campbell stated “Finn Harps Football Club are delighted to be associated with the Donegal Road Safety Campaign through this unique competition. Harps are delighted to have the group winners as their guests at the Shamrock Rovers match. We also look forward to unveiling the overall winner on the night. As in other years the winning overall entry will be on display at Finn Park for the coming season as an 8 x 4 display.”
