Three Donegal students have won top prizes in this year’s 60th Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
In the 16-18 years age category, second prize of €1,000 was won by 16-year-old Cáitríona McClay, a pupil at Loreto Community School, Milford for her work entitled ‘Pulp Fiction’.
Other Donegal winners, both of whom will receive Special Merit Awards are, Róise McGagh (15), from Magh Éne College, Bundoran for her work entitled ‘Oliver’ and Julia Chechelnitskaya (18), from Loreto Convent, Letterkenny, for her work ‘An Evening on the Lake’.
Prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony in Dublin next month when all of the 127 top prize-winners will be in attendance.
