THREE Donegal players on Winning Streak are on their way home to the county tonight with combined winnings of €116,000!
That’s more than the IDA invested in the county last year.
Pensioner Rose McLaughlin, from the Isle of Doagh, got off to a flying start by winning €30,000 cheered on by ten grandchildren and seven brothers!
That was already €13,000 more than son John won – also in the audience – when he appeared on the show a couple of years ago.
Engineer Davy Russell from Newtowncunningham got his hands on €10,000 in the first round after his luck ran out on his first number, while Margaret McGlynn from Trentaboy, Drumkeen, bagged himself a car worth €30,000!
In the High Low Share game – each of them was given €10,000 more to share before taking the total to €40,000 thanks to Margaret.
The next number failed, before Rose had the easy option of going lower on 21.
Dad-of-one Davy (with another one on the way in July) then went lower on No 15, but got No16.
They all got another €14,000 each from the €70,000 win.
Margaret ended up with €15k and a car worth €30k, a total of €45k.
Rose had €45k by the end and Davy had €26k.
Donegal’s luck ran out when it came to Spinning the Wheel, but all three are on their way home tonight very happy.
