Andy McGranaghan gave a first class performance to the jam packed audience at the Ulster final of Scór Sinsir in Downpatrick, Co. Down on Saturday night but unfortunately it was not enough to convince the adjudicators who gave Andy one First place and two second places. This s as close as a competitor can go and often this can be enough to win these competitions but unfortunately for Andy one of the other competitors got two first places on this occasion. Great credit is due to Andy for his preparation over the past four months. He put in a great deal of work and represented the club well. Hopefully Andy will give it one more go next year. Míle buíochas Andy.
Congratulations to U15 footballer Alex Tinney who has been chosen to represent Ireland in Hockey in his age group. He has already represented Ulster with distinction and will now earn the ultimate honour of representing his country. Well done Alex.
