The students, parents and staff of Loreto Community School Milford have once again shown their great ability to support good causes.
Their latest innovation was providing the school community with a Defibrillator and to raise some much needed funds for Temple Street Hospital.
The appeal was spearheaded by Mr. Noel Scott and Mr. Michael McGroarty ably helped by their class groups of N.Brendan and N. Bernadette.
The school community collected an impressive 565 phones for a Zoll Aed Plus defibrillator and an Ipad 2.
The ipad was won by Charlee McClafferty , with the runners up prize of 50 euro won by Ellie Trosi.
A Special mention must go to three students who earned prizes by making huge individual efforts in the fundraiser, They are Paul Sheridan, Eoin Roulston and Liam Loughrey who collected 100 phones between them.
“We would like to thank our special guest Mr. Jason Black for taking the time to come along to present the Defibrillator to the principal Mr. Andrew Kelly, and share his experiences with the students of the school,” said a school spokesman.
