DONEGAL rugby stars Larissa Muldoon and Nora Stapleton are in the 6 Nations team which will be to prevent a French Grand Slam on Friday night.
Muldoon, who scored a wonderful try for Ireland in the 17-10 loss to England at Twickenham, was rested in the 39-0 win over Italy last weekend, being brought on as a late substitute.
She will resume her half-back partnership with Fahan woman Nora Stapleton in Stade du Hameau in Pau.
France have already won the 6 Nations Championship but Ireland can prevent them taking a Grand Slam as well.
“The team put in a fine performance against Italy in their first ever game at the Aviva Stadium but we are under no illusions as to the challenge ahead of us,” said head coach Philip Doyle.
“France are the form team of the Championship and beat England reasonably comfortably in Round 1. We will need to match their physicality and take our chances when they come.”
