1. Shamrock Shenanigans
This St Patricks weekend there will be Shamrock Shenanigans happening on the Old Railway Walk in Burtonport. One of the local Leprachuans there has promised one lucky family “A POT OF GOLD”. Yes you heard right “A POT OF GOLD”. Being a mischevious Leprachuan however he is obviouslly not going to just hand it over to you. So…. Come along to Burtonport at your families convienience between 10o Clock on Friday 14th & 7pm Monday 17th March and take part in his FAMILY FUN TREASURE TRAIL. Entry forms with further instructions can be picked up at the service station at Burtonport crossroads from Friday morning. And may the luck of the Irish be with you 🙂
St Patricks day Community Celebrations
St Columbas Community Centre, Burtonport is holding its 9th annual celebration of Irish Culture this St Patricks day between 12 – 2. On offer on the day is a great combination of food, Irish stew, music, marching bands, Irish damcing and fun raffles many of which are free. As usual this is a BRING & SHARE event where we encourage everyone to bring along some homebaking/ biscuits etc to share with everyone on the day. Entry is free but there are plenty of ways to spend your money if you have some. All funds raised this year will be devided equally between The Local Lifeboat fund, The Burtonport Festival & St Columbas Community Centre.
Playmatters Tue 18th March
There will be no ArTBoX session at Playmatters on Monday 17th of March due to St Patricks day but there will be a session held on Tue 18th March to support a FREE PARENTING ADVICE session being offered by Parentstop @ 11 o clock in the CDP building, Chaple road, Dungloe. The parenting session will be concentrating on fussy eating and the development of social skills such as sharing. All parents are welcome to come along.
