Three women and a man arrested and charged in connection with the discovery of a drugs factory in Ballybofey will be brought in person to Letterkenny in a fortnight to have the book of evidence presented to them.

The three women – Sam Pohs Ooi, 62, her daughter Chong Li Jiuan, 28, both from Malaysia and Mei Ling Chen, 56, from China, all appeared by video link from the Duchas Centre today at Letterkenny District Court.

Solicitors Frank Dorrian and Patsy Gallagher, representing them, asked that the book of evidence be furnished by the State on March 24.

The man in the case Ching Ann Low, also appeared by videolink from Castlerea Prison and also had his case adjourned until the same date.

All four are charged in connection with the discovery of €360,000 of cannabis above the Lee Ho Chinese restaurant on January 21st last.

The accused were told today that their legal teams would make an application for bail at the High Court in Dublin on April 1.
