UPDATED: FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze tonight at a €1.3M 200-year-old country mansion – there are no reports of any injuries.
The inferno at the Sharon Glebe outside Manorcunningham broke out around 8pm.
A number of fire tenders from the surrounding area are attending the scene.
The early 19th century period residence had been on the property market in recent times.
It is set in 5.5 acres of gardens.
The former rectory is a huge house – stretching to 5,600 square feet.
Tonight flames are flying out of the top of the mansion.
It was recently described as “one of the finest period residences to come on the market in recent times.”
