A 27 year old Milford man has been told he will go to prison if he continues to harass his neighbours.
Edward McBride of Goalan in Milford appeared before Letterkenny District Court charged with engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour at Greyrocks, Milford.
The court heard McBride had a history of trouble with another man in the house, Christopher Toye.
Mr Toye and his family heard a bang and saw McBride out in the driveway of the house.
Garda Inspector Goretti Sheridan that McBride was heard to shout at Mr Toye “Come out or I’ll wreck your auld doll’s car.”
The court heard that McBride had 15 previous convictions inclading charges of asssault and public order.
Solicitor Patsy Gallagher said the dispute between the two parties had settled down now.
He said alcohol was a factor but pointed to the fact that McBride had not been before the courts for more than a year.
Judge Paul Kelly said McBride had “got away quite lightly the last time.”
He jailed him for four months but suspended the sentence for two years ordering him to be of good behaviour and not to go near the injured parties of Christopher and Kathleen Toye.
