DONEGAL university students will today attempt a Jailbreak – to escape from Ireland.
Daire Mc Mullin from Stranorlar, a student in Trinity College Dublin and pal Paul McDonagh-Forde are among 100 students who have 36 hours to travel as far away from Dublin as possible without spending a single cent!
They are required to beg, borrow or blag their travel costs, regardless of the destination.
It’s a charity based initiative and all funds raised are given to the students’ designated charities.
Last year two students made it all the way to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Daire and Paul leave Kilmainham Jail today with the rest of the teams – and have until 9pm Sunday to get as far away as possible.
Said Daire: “We’re really looking forward to it – and we plan a few surprises!”
We’ll keep you up to date on their progress……..
