Buncrana GAA Notes for Week Ending Sunday 26th January 2014
Comhgairdeas Scor na nOg The Club is immensely proud of the eight young members who won the Ulster Final of Scor na n-Óg in Armagh on Saturday. These talented youngsters were the sole Donegal representatives left in this year’s competition and they did themselves, the town and the county proud!
They were competing in the Léiriú section of the competition, performing a drama about St. Columba’s arrival on the Scottish island of Iona. The piece was written and produced by Patricia Doherty (Tinney).
Club Scor Officer, Sinéad Mc Laughlin, praised the young actors for their commitment and hard work in preparing for the Ulster Final and she’s looking forward to the team doing well in the All Ireland finals to be held in Castlebar in March. Well done to everyone involved in this great success and hopefully we’ll win our own All Ireland for Donegal in March! Buncranncha Abu..

Well done to the Under 12’s who were very unlucky on Sunday in Division 1 in the Antrim League. They were up against the top teams in Antrim and the boys gave it 100%. They won 2, drew 1 and lost 2.

The programme featured the Club entry which RTE considered to be of very high quality and gave a great example of how deeply rooted and important the club is in the community. The video was produced for the club for free by The Memory Factory and Crana Communications.
