A marathon and heated meeting in Lifford failed to agree on how to spend the 2014 budget.
So the meeting was adjourned until 1pm today (Tuesday) after talks failed again last night.
Independent councillor John Campbell claimed some of the proposals in the budget were uncosted.
He described Monday’s lengthy meeting as “the Divine Comedy” branding the political brinkmanship between the parties as “farcical.”
Councillors are trying to agree how to spend this year’s €138M budget, an increase in €5M on last year.
Earlier the council meeting was adjourned as a mark of respect to former Fianna Fail councillor and county chair John Kelly from Falcarragh who died on Monday.
