Tullyvinney Rovers 1 Keadue Rovers Reserves 2
Keadue Rovers had a good win over Tullyvinney in this fixture which was reversed from Tullyvinney to Keadue on account of an unplayable pitch. It was an ideal day for football. Keadue had the brighter start and David Ward had an effort pushed over the bar on five minutes. Tullyvinney’s first chance came on sixteen minutes when their striker was put through and he lobbed the keeper but the ball went just wide. In the twentieth minute, following good work from Donal Rodgers, Alan Rodgers shot just wide from a good position in the box. Halfway through the first half Tullyvinney took the lead when, following a good ball down the left, a good cross into the box was missed by both defenders and forwards but following in at the far post, David Gardener shot from an awkward angle high into the net. On thirty five minutes Adam Neely’s headed effort for the home side was saved while after that Tullyvinney could’ve been two up when a headed effort hit the crossbar. By the end of the half play was opening up at both ends and on the stroke of half time Keadue equalised when Adam Neely shot to the net after good work from Donal and Alan Rodgers. At the start of the second half Keadue upped the tempo from the off creating a few openings but not converting them. Donal Rodgers was unlucky on fifty six minutes when he lobbed the keeper from long distance but the ball went just over the bar. Tullyvinney were content at this stage to hit on the break and both teams made a number of substitutions. Keadue took the lead on seventy three minutes when a cross from the right was fumbled by the Tullyvinney keeper and Donal Rodgers was on hand to fire home from a few yards out. Tullyvinney did push forward in the last fifteen minutes but the home keeper wasn’t forced into any saves and the Keadue rearguard stood firm to hold out for a good win.
Best for Tullyvinney were David Gardener and Dermot Shields. Best for Keadue were Conor Greene and Adam Neely. Referee: Kevin Doherty.

Lifford Celtic 2 Cranford United 0
This game was switched to Cranford Park due to the inclement weather. Cranford started brightly with Kyle Black and Arthur lynch unlucky before Kevin Mc Brearty crossed for Ross Porter to hammer home between a number of home defenders to give Lifford the lead. The second half brought more pressure from Cranford but the Lifford defence, which was well marshalled by David O Herlihy, held firm. On a swift breakaway 1-0 became 2-0 when Alan Gethins broke clear to score. The home team had a number of chances to get back into the match after this but Lee White made some fine saves. Mark Neeson and Alan Gethins were best for Lifford with a team effort from the home side. Referee: Marty Mc Garrigle.

Kerrykeel ’71 F.C. 1 Drumoghill F.C. 3
Drumoghill FC left Rab’s Park with all three points with a good win over Kerrykeel ‘71 with the home side only having themselves to blame. Kerrykeel played against a strong wind in the first half and dealt well with it playing some good football stopping Drumoghill from playing and using the long ball. On the stroke of half time Drumoghill took the lead when Brian Coll’s free kick found its way into the bottom corner. It was two nil on forty six minutes when a high ball over the Kerrykeel defence wasn’t dealt with and Liam O’Donnell finished well. Kerrykeel had a few half chances fall to Johnny Friel and Paddy Mc Grenaghan before Drumoghill got their third on sixty eight minutes, O’Donnell again on target after a poor ball out from the Kerrykeel defence. Kerrykeel got one back on seventy five minutes with Paddy Mc Grenaghan heading home a Fergal Friel cross. Kerrykeel threw everything at Drumoghill in the closing stages and Marty Mc Ateer hit the post in the dying seconds but Regan in goal was in fine form.
Team performances from both sides. Referee: Ed Moore
