Raphoe Boxing Club showed just how big a punch they pack when they presented more than €726 to the Irish Kidney Association.

Anthony Ryan, manager of the Irish kidney association renal support house Beaumont, accepted the money from the club’s trainer Gary McCullagh.

Well-known Gary knows first-hand the work the IKA does after he donated one of his own kidneys to his son Christian last year.

The money was raised through the club’s 25 year anniversary dinner dance held recently.

The Renal Support Centre is a self catering hostel in Beaumont opened by the Irish Kidney Association.

The centre provides accommodation for families with state of the art rooms, a large kitchen living room and laundry room and is all free to kidney patients and their families.
