The Army Bomb Disposal unit has arrived from Finner Camp to deal with the jeep which was targeted in this morning car-bomb in Letterkenny.
The unit has pushed back the cordon surrounding the area even further for safety.
Garda Inspector Pat O’Donnell told Donegal Daily earlier that they want to make sure there are no other devices in the car or in the locality.
A number of army experts are currently examining the jeep at the centre of the alert.
The front of the vehicle is badly damaged and it’s two front tyres and blown up.
