A Donegal pub is to feature in a feature film called The Irish Pub.
The film is available to stream or download nationwide from volta.ie from tomorrow.
The film includes an interview with Nan and Patricia Brennan of Brennan’s in Bundoran, two sisters who were born in a bedroom above the bar that their grandparents opened on St. Patrick’s Day 1900 and who continue to run the pub now.
Featuring pubs and publicans from across the country, the film can now be streamed or downloaded to enjoy at home (even if your home isn’t close to an independent cinema).
The film is a tribute to the greatest institution in Irish society, the pub, or more specifically, the traditional Irish publicans who run them. The characters in this wonderful film all run and own pubs that have been in their families for generations and it is through their warmth, wit and wisdom that we gain an insight into the heart and soul of THE IRISH PUB.
After a successful run in cinemas, audiences nationwide can now rent the film to watch at home. By logging on to www.volta.ie, users can decide to rent or purchase the film by streaming or downloading.
