AN POST CONFIRMS GREENCASTLE PO WILL STAY OPEN FOR 12 MONTHS

An Post has confirmed that Greencastle Post Office will remain open for 12 months while it reviews its services nationwide.

The move has been welcomed by Donegal’s three North-East TDs Joe McHugh, Padraig MacLochlainn and Charlie McConalogue.

All issued statements welcoming the move.

It follows a campaign by the Greencastle community for retention of the post office in the village, which had been under threat following notice by An Post.
