Jason Quigley is one fight away from an amazing gold medal.
Donegal’s Jason Quigley will face Kazakhstan fighter Zhanibek Alimkhanuly in tomorrow’s World Boxing Championships middleweight final live on RTÉ One Television at 10.50am, the TV station said this evening.
The 22-year-old is now assured at least a silver medal but will be aiming for gold after an impressive semi-final win.
Quigley is the first Irish male fighter ever to reach a final at World Championship level.
Peter Collins will be joined by Katie Taylor, Eric Donovan and Mick Dowling for all the action.
