COUNTY champions Termon have appealed a decision forcing their Ladies team to travel to Clones again this weekend after their Ulster Senior final draw on Sunday.
Monaghan champions Donaghmoyne had led by half-time but Termon came back and eventually took a two-point lead through a Geraldine McLaughlin penalty.
Donaghmoyne managed to square the game just before the final whistle finishing 1-14 to the Donegal team’s 4-05.
The replay is this Saturday – but there was huge disappointment when the Ulster Ladies Council announced that replay will once again take place in Clones, essentially giving Donaghmoyne another ‘home’ game.
Today Termon Ladies said they were appealing that decision because they say a replay at Clones is unfair.
Said a spokeswoman: “The Ulster Council announced at the game yesterday that the replay will be next Saturday in Clones (again) but obviously that is not fair on our girls to have to travel up to Monaghan again, so they are appealing it.”
Some Termon fans are still unhappy at the referee – who played 7 minutes of injury time at the end.
