MILFORD Ladies lost their Ulster Intermediate Final in an enthralling match with Derry champions Glen at Clones this afternoon.
The Co Donegal girls did their club proud with an outstanding display, only to lose out in the dying seconds.
Milford had gone in at half-time cruelly a point behind.
The sides were tied in the early stages on two points apiece before Milford established a two point advantage at 0-06 to 0-04.
But Glen’s Louise Gunn scored a goal in injury time to put the Derry side ahead at the break.
It was end-to-end in the second half as Glen nudged further into the lead.
But trailing by three points, Amber Barrett popped up to score a superb goal to tie the sides at 1-10 each.
Glen however nudged a point back into the lead and time ran out for another Milford comeback.
But the girls can head back north this evening having put Donegal football firmly on the Ulster map in a provincial final.
