IT was a wonderful blast of summer across Co Donegal on Monday.
And tomorrow looks as though it’s going to glorious again as Met Eireann confirmed that we got the best of the weather today.
“There may be more cloud in the morning time on Tuesday but it is going to stay mild and very warm for this time of the year,” said a spokesman.
“The West and North West got the best of the weather on Monday with highs of 21C to 23C.
“It may drop a couple of degrees as the week goes on but it is still lovely weather for this time of the year.
“The best of the sunshine will be in the afternoon.”
The warm spell will continue throughout the week, although it will be more cloudy.
However we will escape the downpours predicted for the south and east of Ireland.
In fact temperatures on Monday barely reached 14C in Cork as a blanket of cloud has covered most of the south of the country.
Early predictions show that by Saturday temperatures will remain in the high teens.
