SIX farms have been robbed in a travelling gang crime blitz in Donegal.
The raids netted tens of thousands of euro worth of farm equipment in raids across the east and north of the county.
A week ago Donegal Daily reported how equipment including a trailer and a quad bike were stolen in a theft from the home of a disabled man in Kilmacrennan.
Another home in the area had equipment taken from a shed.
Since then Gardai have investigated four more raids.
In one incident in Manorcunningham a range of expensive farming equipment was taken.
The IFA and Gardai have issued warnings to farmers to step up security around their homes and outbuildings as a result of the raids.
It’s understood investigating gardai believe the gang is from Limerick and has targeted Donegal over the past week.
A number of items have been recovered, but there have been no arrests.
