A surfer was rescued after getting into difficulty off Magheraroarty Beach last night.
The Rescue 118 helicopter was dispatched to the scene but had to be diverted for another incident.
The Bunbeg Coastguard Boat and a passenger vessel, the Whispering Dawn, went to the surfer’s aid.
The surfer later made it safely ashore and no hospital treatment was needed.
