HOW LOW CAN THEY GO? ANGER AS BURGLARS TARGET HOME OF DISABLED MAN

BurglarsTHERE is considerable anger after sick thieves targeted two homes in Co Donegal at the weekend – including the home of a man disabled in a car crash.

The man, his wife and children were asleep when the creeper burglars robbed the garage at his home and the shed of a next door neighbour.

Trailers, a quad bike and other equipment were taken in the raid.

Garda sources say the robbery on the outskirts of Kilmacrennan has sparked fears that an organised criminal gang is targeting Donegal once again.

“This was clearly well-organised and well-planned,” said one officer.

“We would advise all home owners, particularly in rural areas, to step up security at their homes and in and around farm yards.

“The gangs involved in this sort of criminal activity are repeat offenders.”

Gardai have urged anyone with information to contact them in Milford.

“They’re just sick,” said one friend of the robbed families.

“There is a great deal of anger that these two homes have been robbed in this way but particularly the home of the young man in this case.

“Gangs like this don’t care who they rob from, the elderly, the disabled, whoever they can.”
