*Junior Championship Final*
It has been confirmed that the Seniors will battle Urris in the Junior Championship Final on Sunday the 25th August at 6pm in Letterkenny. Huge game for the club and it is asked that we get as many people as possible out to support the boys.
*Seniors*
The Seniors played two games this weekend and managed to come out with two wins. On Thursday night they played away to Muff and won 0-14 to 0-10 with Cathal McGettigan scoring 8 points, while on Saturday evening a fantastic second half performance seen them blitz Na Rossa 2-18 to 0-6, with the Seniors scoring 2-10 in the second half alone.
*Ladies Intermediate Championship Semi-Final First Leg*
CLG BnaG 3-10 Four Masters 1-11
The senior ladies defeated Four Masters in the first leg of their sem-final last Sunday morning in what was a hard fought battle from start to finish. The long delay since their last competitive game seemed to be a factor as the girls were slow to start and found themselves 1-6 to three points down after twenty minutes. Slowly but surely the girls managed to get into the game and thanks to a brace of goals from Amber Barrett they managed to go in at half time with the scores level. After the break Milford started to impose their game on Four Masters and when Lianne Boyce hit the back of the net after a sweeping move up the field it gave the girls the bit of daylight on the scoreboard that they were able to maintain until the final whistle. This was a good result for the girls against opposition who played in a senior championship final two years ago but the job is only half done and they will be really up against it when they travel to Donegal town next Sunday morning for the second leg. It would be great if they could get some support for the game and hopefully they can finish off the tie and qualify for the Intermediate final at their first attempt.
*Buncrana Cup*
Congratulations to Kane Barrett and Gavin McFadden on winning the Buncrana Cup at the weekend. Donegal defeated Derry in the Semi Final with Kane scoring a goal before going on to defeat Tyrone in the Final by a scoreline of 3-6 to 0-3. Congratulations are also in order for our own SP Barrett who is manager of this Donegal team, as well as Darran nash, Michael McGlynn and Luke Barrett who are part of his backroom team.

*Chris Gallagher Memorial Match*
Glenfin 2-8 CLG BnaG 2-10
There was a big turnout for this game with a panel of 24 turning up although there were some injury worries before the game. Similar to Donegal, a lot of players had a lot of miles on the clock. After a late fitness test Seimi Burke was passed fit, while Aodh McCormack put in a tough weeks training in Galway and was also able to start but found the going tough underfoot and struggled but got past the post by a nose. In defence Pat Barrett and Sean McHugh did very well but undoubtedly man of the match for Milford was flying half back Hugo Hagan. In midfield SP Barrett looked to have hamstring trouble while further up the pitch there were rumours Noel Gillespie had spent the day in the bookies betting on a Glenfin win and the longer the game went on the more it looked like it. Corner forward Aidan Cannon, with only one hip, still managed to get on the scoresheet with a point while Eddie McCleary was a big strong man in full forward. Gerry Kinlan looked to be in the same shape he was in in ’92 with intelligent play in defence. Milford were without the services of the two Nash brothers, Darran and Paul, but thank god for Dundalk’s Paul Grier to do a bit of running in the middle of the park. For Glenfin Frank and Dermot Ward were in flying form and as sharp as ever in the forward line, in the words of Aodh McCormack, form is temporary, class is permanent. A great nights craic was had and the club would like to thanks Glenfin for their hospitality. The club would also like to thank Tom Anderson for managing the team however he found the journey home tough and had to stay for 3 days.
*Minor Ladies*
The Minor Ladies begin their season against St Nicaea this Tuesday (13th August) with throw in at 5.45pm. All support would be greatly appreciated
*U16s*
The U16s were defeated by St Eunans B on Monday night by 5-8 to 2-10, however due to St Eunans playing ineligible players na Galloglaigh will get the points. Connor Gormley scored 2-3, while Kane Barrett got 6 points and Cormac Toland got 1 point. Oisin Doherty and Ryan McMahon impressed on their first outing for the team, while Gavin Grier excelled in the second half, but star man was captain for the night Connor Gormley
*U14 Girls*
The U14 Girls defeated St Michaels on Monday night by 3-14 to 0-6. Na Galloglaigh led 2-4 to 0-4 at half time but pulled away with a good second half performance with Myia and Megan Nyhan, Emma McGettigan, Kellyanne Buchanan and Bronagh Barrett best for the home team.
*U12 Girls Blitz – Termon*
A very enjoyable blitz was held in Termon today for the U12 Girls teams from CLG BnaG, Termon, Glenswilly, Letterkenny Gaels and Downings. The girls played very well and showed marked improvement with each match. The next blitz will take place in Downings next Friday evening with a time to be confirmed.
