Johnny Giles regarded by many as the greatest player to ever play for Ireland visited Letterkenny Golf club last week.
The former Leeds United star is now best known for being an integral part of RTE’s coverage of soccer alongside Eamon Dunphy and Liam Brady.
He received a warm welcome and posed for a number of photographs from well wishers and took time to sign autographs for younger fans.
Giles wasn’t the only former sporting star to play the course as former World Darts champion Bob Anderson also visited the course.
Anderson was one of the best players in the world for over 20 years and won several World championship during that time.
He also posed with fans who wanted their photo taken with the former Darts champion.
