The Finn Valley Flying Club, based at the airfield at Carrickbrack, Convoy will run a Fly-in BBQ/Family day event this Saturday the 10th August from 12 Noon.
The event will be a Charity event held for “Fix Crumlin” and in particular will help fund the new Children’s Cancer wing at the hospital.
If the weather plays ball we will get to see aircraft landing from all over Ireland and indeed from the UK too.
The day kicks off around Midday and aircraft will arrive from Friday night and throughout Saturday. Around 3pm there will be a full aerobatic flying display by one of Irelands top display pilots, this will be a first for Donegal and not to be missed.
There will be model aircraft and helicopters, and we may even have a visit by the Air rescue Sikorsky helicopter on the day.
Bouncy castles will be available for the children & a full BBQ kicks off around 2 pm.
This is a unique event, run by Finn Valley Flying Club to raise funds for Crumlin Hospital for sick children. So if you’re free on Saturday come along and see something uniquely different. It will be signposted from all surrounding towns.
The entrance fee is a donation to the “Fix Crumlin” appeal.
Find out more about the event on the website at www.finnvalleyflyingclub.com or “find us on Facebook” where you can “like us” to have a chance of winning a flight in an aeroplane during the day.
