There’s not many art galleries that refuse to take ANY commission on the paintings they sell.
But the Art Gallery at Sharkey’s TOP Service Station in Dungloe is one.
The gallery will open a unique exhibition featuring local artists on Saturday July 27th at 6.30pm, with a wine reception.
The exhibition will continue until Sunday August 4th 2013. The exhibition will open daily from 11am until 5pm.
As well as providing a platform for emerging Donegal artists to showcase their work and development, we also exhibit the best work from a number of principal artists who we have been working with us for many years now.
These include established artists such as Gay O’ Toole, Heidi Nyguyen, Patsy Dan Rodgers (King of Tory Island) Liz Doyle, Michelle Doherty, Peter Healy, Ian Gordon, Stephen Bennett, Kevin Gallagher, Kordula Ludwig, Martin Dorgan to name but a few.
What is unique about this art exhibition is that no commission is charged by Sharkey’s Service Station on works sold i.e. the artists keep 100% of the selling price of their works.
This unique arrangement has been in place since the exhibitions started in 2005. This year is the 9th annual art exhibition to be held at Sharkey’s Service Station.
The exhibition will feature over 100 works by local artists
