FORECASTERS say County Donegal could get the best of the weekend weather.
While parts of the south and west of the county escaped the worst of this week’s thunder storms, other parts of the east and north of Donegal have experienced massive downpours.
Letterkenny was badly hit on Friday – with the general hospital bearing the brunt of the damage, and homes in Glencar ruined.
Now BBC Northern Ireland’s weather centre and Met Eireann believe we are set for a beautiful Saturday with lots of sunshine.
“The far North West should escape the showers on Saturday,” said a spokeswoman.
“There will be cloud, but there will also be lots of sunny spells for most of Donegal and temperatures of up to 21C.”
We might not be as lucky on Sunday with more showers predicted but it won’t be as bad as the south and east of the country.
