THE husband of a missing Co Tyrone woman has made a heartfelt plea to the people of Donegal: “Please help me find her.”
Lisa McGowan, who is 44, was last seen at her home in Drumquin in Tyrone more than a week ago.
There were unconfirmed reports she was in Fanad and local people have been trying to find her.
Her weeping husband Paddy said: “She really is a strikingly beautiful woman, at 6ft tall, you won’t be able to miss her.
“Please, please please, if you know anything, go to the Gardai. I just want her back with me, I want her home.”
He said the “spirit of generosity” from friends and neighbours had been overwhelming.
Mr McGowan said his wife didn’t take anything with her when she left home last week and that someone out there “must know something”.
“She has nothing but the clothes on her back. No purse, no handbag – they were all left behind.”
He added: “In all honestly, she could be anywhere on this island. She could hop on a bus, or be taken to anywhere at all.
“Knowing where she is – that she’s safe, that’s when I’ll find peace.”
Mr McGowan last saw her before heading to Dublin, where he works as a university lecturer. Lisa was last seen at her home address in the Drumquin area on Monday July 8 at 10.30pm. Police believe she went missing from her home after 1.30pm the next day.
