Raphoe Family Resource Centre
RAPHOE 5K:
On Tuesday 16th July at 7.30pm the Family Resource Centre will hold its 3rd Annual 5k race in association with Lifford AC and Donegal Co. Athletics Board. The 5k, which is part of the Grand Prix Series costs €10 to enter with all proceeds re-invested into supporting the work of the Family Resource Centre. The Centre is delighted that Coyle’s Centra, Raphoe have agreed to be the main sponsor for the race and our sincere thanks are due for this generous offer. Coyle’s Centra have been very consistent supporters of the work of the Family Resource Centre over many years. You can now pre-register for the race by emailing your name, club/organization (if any) and age category to raphoe5k@hotmail.co.uk and of course registration can take place on the night from 6.00pm onwards in the Family Resource Centre, William St, Raphoe. Changing facilities and showers will be available in the Deele College and we would like to thank Mr. Damian Mc Devitt for his support and cooperation with that.
RAPHOE WALKING GROUP:
The Raphoe Walking Group meets every Thursday at 10.30am in the Family Resource Centre. Everyone Welcome. This is a brilliant opportunity to get fit (ter) and meet new people in your Community.
RAPHOE TIDY TOWNS
The application for the town has now been sent in to the Tidy Towns unit for this year’s competition. Judging is usually in June, July and early August. A sincere thank you to everyone in the town for all your help in keeping your properties and gardens in good shape which in turn helps our town looking well. The local residential groups, Tidy Towns committee and C.E staff are doing a great job in the different areas of the town which is a great help every year. You can help by putting out window boxes, hanging baskets from this week on. You can also help by painting, weeding & keeping your areas litter free. Last year the town received a silver medal and 297 points so hopefully we can gain a few extra points this year again. Good Luck Raphoe!
