The coastal cancer challenge which takes place on the 20th July in Dunfanaghy is already attracting large interest.
The event which was run for the first time last year involves a 12k run around McSynes gun loop, a 2 km kayak from Dunfanaghy to Portnablagh, a 24k cycle to Muckish via Ards Forest Park, a 3km Hike up Muckish mountain and a 18k cycle back to Dunfanaghy.
Speaking during the week chairman Boyd Robinson said he was delighted with the interest so far.
“Last year we had 130 individuals and 50 teams and we look like we are going to greatly exceed this year.
“Entries are coming in from all over we have three entries from the Netherlands, entries from Germany and one entry from New York as well as several UK athletes competing,” he revealed.
The race was a massive success last year raising over €12,000 for the nominated charities and hopefully this year we will exceed this.
