A 22-year-old Dublin man has been sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison, with the final two years suspended, for the unlawful killing of Donegal reporter Eugene Moloney.
Last month, Gary Burch of Kennington Close in Templeogue pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of the 55-year-old Donegal man.
Mr Moloney, who was born in England and raised in Belfast but who has family connections with Fahan, was attacked on Camden Street in Dublin while walking home from a stag party in the early hours of 24 June, 2012.
He died from injuries sustained from a blow to the head.
Mr Moloney had worked with the Irish Independent for more than 20 years. He had been freelancing at the time of his death.
