ST EUNAN’S CLUB NEWS: The Seniors advanced to the q-finals of this year’s championship as they finished top of their group after defeating N. Conaill on Saturday evening. A blistering first half display was enough to get the job done and they ran out winners by 2-15 to 3-09, this result combined with Malin’s big win sees the Glenties men exit this year’s championship.
The N. Conaill Reserves fared better as they eked out a 1 point win to top the group as both teams move onto the q-finals.

Last weekend saw a large number of Donegal teams compete in the All-Ireland Féile that was hosted by neighbouring Derry.
Our U14 boy’s team were hosted by The Loup on the banks of Lough Neagh and were very lucky to be received by such excellent hosts. The lads won their first two games against The Loup and Portglenone (Antrim) before meeting the Burren in a final group game showdown. After a slow start the boys came back to take the lead and were denied by the woodwork on 3 occasions before two late goals ended their hopes. The Burren went on to win the All-Ireland Div. 2 crown. The U14 Boys will take on Ardara this Wednesday in their championship semi-final. The U13 Boys hosted St. Anne’s from Dublin. The Dublin team went on to win the group before a semi-final defeat.
The U14 girls hosted West Clare Gaels. Kilkenny City also competed in the girls group and they went on to win the Div. 2 title. The Eunan’s girls lost to West Clare in the opening game. However after falling behind to Kilkenny in the first half of that match, the girls had a storming second half, putting two goals and a point past Kilkenny and denying them any scores. The girls then went on to beat Naomh Conaill with some brilliant individual performances throughout the team. A great weekend was had by all the visiting teams and special thanks to Éamonn Doherty and Declan O’Donnell for presenting gifts to the visiting clubs. All the clubs hosted at O’Donnell Park left Donegal with a great impression of the club, its players and their families. A huge ‘thank you’ to all the parents who provided food throughout the weekend at the Park.

The U16 hurlers will take on Setanta in the League this Thursday (4th) in O’Donnell Park at 7:30pm.
Gordon and Fergal want to thank all the players, parents and supporters of the U14 hurling panel for a fantastic year. The team won the County League B with a great win over Gaels in the final, following an impressive record of success in the league, showing great improvement over the season. The championship saw a great win over Burt in the q-final, and a loss in the semi to Buncrana, who are the team of the year in U14 this year. Our Eunan’s U14 hurling team are playing at the top level of hurling in Donegal, and the players should be really proud of their hard work, commitment and achievements. The end of the U14 season does not mean the end of hurling for the players. The U12s will now play in the U12 league, and the U13’s and U14’s are all asked to play with the U16 panel, with training on Tuesday evenings at 5pm. In addition many of our U13/U14’s will represent the Donegal county team.
