FANCY a week working with sharks?
The Irish Basking Shark Study Group are running in Malin Head community centre on the 29th of July-9th of August (weekdays only, Mon to Friday, Tuesday to Friday).
It is an internship which the group is calling ‘Shark Camp 2013’ for those young people in secondary school who have an interest in marine biology/science/conservation and are keen to gain experience for their c.v and have fun while learning some great skills.
“Each shark camp intern will learn marine biology skills, carry out hands-on fieldwork on the shore and on boats, learn skills in multimedia and video editing and will learn about their marine heritage and potential careers in the marine field,” said Rosemary McCloskey from the group.
The camp is free for successful applicants and is funded by the Inishowen Development Partnership and the Irish Basking Shark Study
Applicants can download an application from the website and should email it to me at r_mccloskey@hotmail.com.
