THE twin sister of tragic car accident victim Shane Brolly has told of a brother who lived life to the full – and loved the great Donegal outdoors.
Emma Brolly, 18, suffered a broken arm in the car crash on the Glenfin Road in Ballybofey in the early hours of Monday morning.
Emma told Donegal Daily that her family wanted to tell people of Shane’s interests, and in particular his love of horse-riding.
“Shane loved horse riding and would often attend hunts,” said Emma today.
“He was a member of the Donegal Harriers and he was a fantastic jockey,” she said, giving us this picture showing Shane doing what he did best, out and about on horseback.
“Shane was also a part of the vintage tractor club and he loved going in tractor runs with his friends in dad’s tractor.
“He just loved to be kept busy,” said Emma, who is pictured below with Shane.
The road where the accident happened has re-opened.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward and contact officers at Ballybofey station.
