On day one of the European Cup at Santry, in which twelve nations are competing including Ireland, Finn Valley’s Tori Pena grabbed 11 valuable points.
It was the second best individual tally from the squad clearing 4-30 in difficult conditions to push Ireland to a best ever opening day total which has them in 6th position.
Tori now remains in Europe for the summer preparing for the world championships in Moscow mid August.
Club mate Patsy Mc Gonagle, the Irish team leader, expressed delight with the response and attitude of the squad and underlined the average age being 22/23.
“It bodes well for the years ahead,” he said.
