DONEGAL LADIES CLOSE GAP ON RUNAWAY MONAGHAN

DONEGAL Ladies senior team may have lost to Monaghan on Saturday – but it was far from the trouncing the pundits had predicted.

The final score – Donegal 1-06, Monaghan 1-14 – had eight points between the sides.

But the Donegal ladies can take heart from their performance in Donaghmore.

Aisling Cunningham grabbed the Donegal goal during a spirited second half performance.

The game in Monaghan may be still ahead of it here – but the gap is closing.
