Fanad Utd 1 – Kildrum 4
Kildrum were fast out of the traps and Crossan scored with his first touch of the half after five minutes beating Daffan in the Fanad goals from an acute angle. Fanad lifted their game and competed well but were caught again on the forty-third minute when Ferry headed home from close range.
Half time – 2 nil.
Fanad were caught cold again at the start of the second half after a through ball from O’ Donnell beat the Fanad defence and Ferry again slotted home. Fanad created some chances but were unable to beat the Kildrum keeper. On the sixty-fifth minute Lloyd finished a good move to put Kildrum four ahead. Mc Daid pull one back for Fanad on the eighty’s minute but it was too little too late. Fanad dominated the remainder of the game with Mc Veigh and Mc Daid coming close on two occasions.
Best for Fanad, Murray and Mc Daid and Ferry and Crossan for Kildrum.
