MENS FOOTBALL:
The Senior side will have no match next weekend as Donegal play Down. The Club would like to wish Declan Walsh and the County Panel the Best of Luck ahead of the Ulster Senior Football Championship Semi Final in Breffni Park, Cavan. The winners of this match will go on to meet Cavan or Monaghan. Down will be looking to average last year’s defeat in the Ulster Final in which Declan scored 0:02 points that day.
LADIES FOOTBALL:
Ladies Football training continues on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s between 8pm- 9pm. 1st leg of the Junior B Championship is scheduled for a home game against Killybegs on the 11th of August.
GIRLS FOOTBALL:
U16/U14 Girls continue to train on Wednesday’s at 5:15pm. Last Thursday, seen the U14 Girls play in an away match against Urris. The girls suffered a defeat against the Urris side but a superb performance was put in by the Malin side. The Malin girls placed 2:02 against the 2:13 of the Urris side. The U14 Girls are due to play at home against Carn on Thursday evening at 6pm.
U12 Girls continue to train on Wednesdays at 4:15pm.
U10/U8/U6 continue to train on Saturday mornings at 11:15am till 12:15, all sessions are €2.
BOYS FOOTBALL:
U6 age group continue to train within the Club Gym on Sunday mornings from 10am -11:15am.The sessions are based on GAA Fundamentals; a Croke Park initiative based on research aimed at bettering your child’s coordination (including hand eye) balance, agility and basic fitness in a fun filled environment. It is also an introduction into the basic skills of Gaelic games. All children are welcome to attend.
U8 age group continue to train on Sunday mornings at 11am to 12:30pm, also within the Club Gym. All underage sessions are €2.
U10 age group continue train on Sunday’s from 12:30 to 1:30pm.
U14 Training takes place on Monday from 5-6 and on Thursday from 4.30 to 6.00.
U14 Team won against Urris on Sunday evening.
HURLING:
U10/U12 Boys and Girls Hurling continue on Friday Evenings from 6pm-7pm. All equipment provided €2 per session.
DONEGAL CREAMERIES SCHOOL SKILLS COMPETITION:
Well Done to Sean O’ Neill who represented Malin GAA Future Stars Academy at the Donegal Creameries School Skills Competition. Out of a total of 34 participants, Sean came out 3rd in the County Competition held in Mc Cumhail Park, Ballybofey. Sean was the overall winner in the Malin/ Schools Skills Competition held in the Club Gym last Sunday in which 100 children took part. The Club would like to Congratulate Sean on his achievement in Mc Cumhaill Park and acknowledge the effort that he put forward to represent the Club.
MALIN CUL CAMPS:
Cul Camps dates have been set for the 15th to 19th of July, registration forms will be given in the local National Schools during this week. You can also register online at http://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/, please inform Maria Mc Laughlin if registering online.
ELVERY’S GAA/ GPA YOUTH CAMPS:
The GAA- GPA have launched a new summer camp for Boys aged 13-15 years, from Monday 24th of June till Friday 28th of June in Mc Cumhaill Park, Ballybofey. Places are limited and booking can be completed by visiting www.elverysyouthcamps.gaa.ie. Places are €55 each, with the camps being run by County Senior Players such as Michael Murphy.
GO GAMES:
The U8 boys were away to Burt last Saturday as part of the Go Games, the U12 Girls Blitz was cancelled on Friday evening and will be re-arranged for another time. The U10 Boys will play Burt at home this Saturday Morning at 11am. Please check out Clubs Facebook page for more information during the week.
LOTTO:
There was no winner of the Lotto Jackpot of € 1,100. The sequence drawn was 7-2-3-4-1-5-6, the €50 was Derek and Laura Harley, Malin Head. Winner of the €20 seller’s prize was The Malin Hotel. Next week’s lotto jackpot is €1150 and we thank the local community for its continued support of our weekly lotto draw.
